Using IconBattle
By accessing IconBattle, creating a Battle, casting a vote or purchasing First Look, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must use IconBattle lawfully and only submit material that you are authorized to use. Keep any management link private: anyone with that link may be able to manage the relevant Battle.
Battles and submitted material
You retain rights in material you submit. You grant IconBattle a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display and distribute that material as needed to operate the Battle, moderation, result and sharing features.
You confirm that your icons, copy and comparison do not infringe rights, violate law or contain harmful, deceptive or inappropriate material. Comparisons involving other apps are unaffiliated unless clearly stated otherwise.
- We may moderate, reject, pause, remove or limit a Battle to protect voters, creators, third parties or the service.
- A Battle may be visible publicly after it is approved. Names are normally hidden during blind voting and can be revealed in the experience after a voter chooses.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your scenario text and any app-store destination you provide.
What results mean
IconBattle reports directional preference from participating visitors. It is not a promise of click-through rate, install intent, conversion, market demand, statistical significance or any business outcome.
We may take reasonable steps to reduce duplicate or abusive voting, but no online poll can eliminate every invalid response.
First Look bids
Creating a Battle is free. First Look is an optional sponsored placement that may show a Battle first to new voters. It is clearly labelled as sponsored and never changes vote weight, results or the order after a visitor's first view.
Bids are in USD. The opening bid is $1, each later paid bid must be at least $1 above the current paid leader, and there is no preset maximum. A checkout that is not paid does not become a placement.
First Look is an auction: a later, higher paid bid can replace the current placement. We do not guarantee impressions, votes, downloads, revenue or an uninterrupted fixed period of exposure.
Payments and availability
Payments are processed by Paddle through its checkout. Your payment is subject to the price, currency, taxes and checkout terms shown there. Our refund handling is described in the Refund Policy.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of IconBattle. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without warranties of uninterrupted, error-free or outcome-producing operation.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
